Homemade Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream (Recipe)
Homemade Mint Chocolate Chip Ice cream:
Ingredients:
• 2 cups heavy crea
• 1 cup whole milk
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 2 tsp peppermint extract
• 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy
cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and salt over medium heat. Stir until the
sugar has dissolved and the mixture is heated through, but do not let it come
to a boil.
2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and
stir in the peppermint extract.
3. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and
cover with plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or
overnight.
4. Once the mixture has chilled, pour it
into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
5. When the ice cream is nearly finished
churning, add the mini chocolate chips and continue churning until they are
evenly distributed throughout the ice cream.
6. Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe
container and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
7. Serve and enjoy your homemade mint
chocolate chip ice cream!
